The pier approach is basically a road with parking spaces and parking meters. Instead of being open and earning revenue, it will cost $20,000 per month to “secure” and close to cars but open to pedestrians. I am posting this segment, not just for this issue which I think merits more debate but to demonstrate that the http://www.granicus.com/ system of video and agenda used by the city is not sufficient.
